The Voice Over Project
The VoiceOver Project is designed to:
1. Build survivor-informed capacity by training staff to engage with survivor activists.
2. Empower survivors to shape programs, policies, and provide peer support.
3. Offer trauma-informed, gender-sensitive assistance and peer-mentoring to trafficked persons.
4. Support social and labor integration through peer-based programs.
5. Raise awareness through a replicable survivor engagement model, recommendations, podcasts, and events.
For CCARHT’s 8th Annual Symposium, this project is crucial as it aligns with the event’s focus on gendered assets and ‘enabling environments’ of exploitation, offering survivor-centred solutions to tackle trafficking at its roots.
Additionally, Revd Dr. Carrie Pemberton Ford is on the Advisory Board for this 2-year European Project.
The VoiceOver Project is scheduled to take place on the 2nd day of the symposium afternoon at 1:30pm – 6pm.
Tickets for this event can be purchased on Eventbrite here.
